Gift Shoppe

The Mercer Society’s Gift Shoppe has a continually changing inventory that specializes in garden tools and art as well as gifts for the gardener. A staff of one works closely with volunteers to generate an especially delightful inventory. If you’re planning a group visit to Mercer Arboretum be sure to ask if the gift shop will be open during your visit. The Gift Shoppe is open Tuesday – Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

 

Consignment artists as well as some carefully selected specialty items make this a must stop.

In the summer blood thirsty mosquitoes have the potential of draining us – Farm Fresh Soaps’ Don’t Bug Me Insect Balm has been a very popular item this year.

Mother’s Day Trunk Show

Michele Carte’s jewelry has a lot of fans. This real rose has been preserved in resin. Her real flowers that have been preserved for necklaces and earrings and her verdigris necklaces, earrings and bracelets are perfect gifts. Her trunk show will be May 12 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Details.

New inventory arrives every day. Herbs, annuals, native plants and some vegetables are available for sale through the gift shop. This selection changes daily. The Gift Shoppe is also a fun place to visit when looking for that special item of garden whimsy.

Dog owners know the problems associated with keeping their canine friends happy while also maintaining an attractive garden.  It can be done but the process opens up a new focus on garden design.  The Gift Shoppe now carries Tom Barthel’s book, Dogscaping: Creating the Perfect Backyard and Garden for You and Your Dog.

 

The Yoga for Kids in the Rain Forest game is playful and therapeutic for the whole family. It is a novel approach to helping children improve concentration, focus and balance. Kids can learn 52 yoga poses including Weeping Willow Tree, Fish and Toucan. This game is for two or more players.
